Hi! I’m Portia Guillory born and raised in Memphis, TN, 41 years of age graduate from Melrose High School and studied at Stratyer University for Business Administration and minor in Accounting.

I’m Black with a hint creole thanks to my dad. I am single with no kids. I enjoy modeling, singing, and love playing sudoku.

I also have my own small business called Painted Lip Gloss and it’s my baby. I believe in zodiac sign and I’m a Taurus.

It took me awhile to gain my confidence once I started picking up weight over my adult years. I was very skinny growing up and had skin issues due to eczema.

Once my skin started to clear up, the weight picked up and I didn’t want to exercise and I love to eat lol. So, I told myself one day ” Portia every rimple, crimple, and dimple of your body is beautiful !”

I looked at my body naked in mirror and started loving my new curves and the confidence exudes from there.

I hated my body as teenager growing up due to my skin not my weight . I didn’t get bully about size. Kids picked on me about skin, buck teeth, and glasses lol.

Curvy girls are just sexy. We are the reason the word ” Voluptuous ” exist. We have more confidence than anybody on the planet if you ask me.

We are risk takers with our bodies. When the world tells us ” YOU’RE TOO FAT” or ” COVER UP” we show them we really don’t give a damn. Curvy girls rule the world everybody just existing in it.

Some of my personal influences are my family and friends. I’ve always been told by family members and friends I was beautiful and that I should I model. I’m glad they believe in me and that’s what made me believe me knowing they saw something special in me.

Once you began to truly love yourself inside and out. Your personality will exudes your beauty and people will be awe.

Some of my online influences are Tabria Mayors, Ashley Graham, and Tiffany the fashion slayer.

I think social media has opened a whole new world for body positive especially for CURVY GIRLS.

We come and all shapes and sizes and it’s so refreshing to see each body type celebrated. People are truly embracing their bodies and isn’t afraid to show themselves off. I love it!

How I found out about Curvy Angels? I saw a post 3 years ago on Facebook about showing off your curves and I posted a picture in the comment section and you guys reposted it. I thought I hit lottery I was super geeked.

I’ve gained a lot of followers over the past years since interact on you guys Facebook page. Curvy Angels has given myself and other curvy women and men a safe haven to embrace their bodies and love themselves. Thank you for this outlet.
