Wear The Right Gear

Getting the right gear and being comfortable is an important part to your fitness pursuit. Having the wrong gear can have you looking abnormal or body parts looking weird in different places lol making you feel uncomfortable.

Once you start feeling unconformable, for most they don’t perform the exercises well because of feeling insecure.

Trust and believe this has happened way too many time to me to where sometimes i cut my workouts short. But since i learned my body more and what feels and looks comfortable when getting physical , this has helped with my confidence as I know everything is in place and firm for me to push harder.

So please let this not be a reason or the reason to no get started. Search and find companies that accommodate your sizing needs. They’re are plenty of curvy and plus size companies to choose from. Find one that fits you.r preferences.

Set Non-Scale Goals

Don’t let the scale be the only measure of your success. For a lot of people weight fluctuates and that could be for a vary of reasons but that is not your concern to worry too much about. The goal is to feel and look good.

Constant questioning will always bring about worries such as am I losing weight fast enough? Is all this exercising really working? etc etc etc.

The questions you should be focusing on are: Am I able to walk an extra 10 minutes? Am I doing more reps than what i started doing? Have I lost an inch off my waist?

Keep the focus on how you feel during the workouts and take pride in completing each exercise. These are small victories that add up. Stay consistent and be patient the results will come as long as you are PUTTING IN THE WORK.

Start Small Workouts and Progress

No one starts off as a professional in anything, it all starts by starting off small and working your way up. If you try to do too much at once you may hurt yourself or burn yourself out. This is something we want to avoid.

One way to start is simply by walking. It may not seem much but the more you do it with a purpose you will definitely start to feel and see results. You can also keep track by using apps to help track your steps and try to add more steps your next session.

Slowly but surely you are working your way up. Once you feel a little bit comfortable you can do some speed walking which will help with cardio.

Stationary bikes are also good to begin with. At home or at the gym anywhere it will help you get the results. This will help to strenghten your heart and lungs to get your heart rate up. Also a good lower body workout while burning some good calories. Add this into your routine and feel the difference.

Stop Comparing Yourself

I know this is much easier said than done so that’s why we have to practice it, it will not happen overnight.  While you are comparing yourself to someone, there is someone out there comparing themselves to you who aspire to look like you. See how tricky it gets? so that’s why focusing on you is important.

This may be even more harder with social media these days but you can control what you want to see on your timeline. Follow people that help MOTIVATE you instead of always comparing and seemingly showing off. Your mental state of mind is important in this process.

Make Small Changes To Your Diet

A thing to always remember when it comes to living healthy is that little steps leads to big results. This can be applied in many ways such as drinking an extra glass of water. Might seem like nothing but one extra glass will multiply by 2 glasses if you keep it up. Its all about progressing up.

Try replacing those chocolate chip cookies with some carrots or celery sticks dipped in ranch, one of my favorites. Making one change a day seems way more manageable than trying to quit something cold turkey.

Just by doing this you will eventually explore new ideas that will turn into everyday lifestyle habits which is the goal. Healthy eating is just repetition of good habits that form into your daily living. Why wait? Start Today!
