I’m Felicia and I’m 27. A true country girl from South Carolina. I have always loved the outdoors and admiring nature. There is beauty in every moment. Family is a huge part of my life and spending time with them have brought me the best joy.

I enjoy reading , coloring, and mini crafts. Relaxing with a glass of wine , some of my favorite tunes/shows and a coloring page is how I spend most of my evenings. It’s the simple things in life I enjoy open minded conversations and helping others with mental health.

I have always had an interest in modeling and photography. For the past 5 years I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone to explore what really makes me happy.

The confidence that I have today has came from years and years of practicing Self-love, and I mean lots of PRACTICE. Self-esteem came to me naturally but self-confidence was something I lacked. Once I began to put more effort into myself , the better I felt.

When I began to speak uplifting affirmations daily . . Everything changed! I started wearing clothes that a felt comfortable instead of what was “popular” . When you feel good , you look good.

When I was younger, middle school and high school was extremely hard. My weight was a constant struggle. I have always been a “bigger gal” but that is when I realized that I was very uncomfortable with the way I looked.

I would constantly get bullied about my size. It was a quick and easy low blow for people who didn’t have anything better to say. My clothes didn’t fit me well (clothes shopping all together was a total nightmare)

My confidence was at a all time low. I decided to own my body and be proud of all my curves! After graduating high school I started to slim down in certain places. My clothes looked flattering on me.

I was growing into my woman figure , as my mom would say. I was in this awkward stage where people would tell me “Ohh, you are not fat your thick.”

Other women would tell me that I shouldn’t consider myself part of the Plus-Size community. I was too tiny. My belly wasn’t big enough. “You are slim thick” . It was all so bizarre.

So now I’m too thick to be skinny and too small to be fat. Here I was again feeling like I was back in high school trying to force myself into boxes. It was toxic.

So I had to take a step back and talk to the person in the mirror and made a promise . . My opinion of myself is the only one that matters. And so it is.

I absolutely love the body that I am in. I find myself waking up everyday more and more attracted to ME. I believe as long as you are happy with yourself, be happy. Simple

If i could tell my younger self one thing about self-love is . . . Every mark, curve and stretch mark on your body is a reflection of you. Uniquely you. Do not let anyone dim your light because you are worthy.

Tabria Majors and Lizzo are two big online influences. Seeing empowering women and surrounding myself with like minded people keeps me motivated to be the best version of myself.

I’ve have looked up to both of them for years from modeling to music. Having strong women showing off their true self flowing with body confidence is amazing. No mistakes , no flaws , no shame . . Just pure confidence.

I think that social media is helping the body positive movement. I have seen so many women online representing real bodies in real life. It’s refreshing. Social media has open the door to body positive conversations that we all can relate to.

We can open our phones and see positive interactions and real people representing what we believe in. It’s encouraging to feel like we are not alone, especially when it comes to our natural bodies. Social media allows us to build a community that is uplifting and safe.

I found Curvy Angels on Instagram. I came across their page because they posted a beautiful Curvy Angel. When I clicked on the profile and website I instantly followed all of their social media accounts. I was in love and wanted to be apart of this amazing community. Curvy Angels represents everything I stand for.
