Dominique from South Carolina. Mother of two amazing teenagers I love to travel and I work as a travel sales agent. My hobbies include cooking, enjoying cocktails, and reading.

I didn’t always appreciate my body. I went through an abusive relationship ten years ago where I was called fat, ugly, and physically assaulted. I was able to remove myself and my children from that situation but it’s taken me YEARS to build this woman I am today.

I learned to love me, how I looked, my smile, my curves, the way I think, EVERYTHING. I love being a curvy girl, it’s all about the confidence and being comfortable in your skin!

I encourage every woman to take the time to stand in front of the mirror in your birthday suit and explore your own bodies. I light candles, put on some Jhene, honey it is a WHOLE vibe Lol.

Enjoy every imperfection and know that you are worthy of love and one day, you will find that someone who will cherish you but first you must cherish yourself

The biggest influences in my personal life are the women in my life. My two sisters and two best friends are ALWAYS there for me, encouraging me and have been with me every step of the way in life.

If I could tell my younger self one thing about loving myself it would be to never seek happiness within another human being. You are the master of your own happiness.

Online influences that help motivate me are platforms like curvy angels that create a safe space for full figured women to embrace themselves and be loved.

I found out about this group because one of my fb friends shared a post and I went to the page and fell in love with the content. On days where I don’t feel beautiful, I appreciate being able to see other confident women.
